"I abhor animal cruelty.  Shooting and electrocuting lying-foxes has been assessed by animal welfare experts and shown to be inhumane. 
Please do not return Queensland to the barbaric practices of the past by allowing farmers to shoot or electrocute flying-foxes. Farmers have more effective and humane choices for crop protection."
